PS Detect is closing the testing gap by measuring the percentage of sperm capable of sperm-egg fusion—delivering a more complete picture of fertility.

Novel Male Fertility Testing

The Current Gap in Sperm Analysis
A breakthrough discovery and subsequent research have discovered a missing factor in successful sperm-egg fusion.
Without the critical biomarker phosphatidylserine (PS) on sperm, fertilization cannot occur—even when other motility, morphology, and sperm count/volume metrics are within normal ranges.

Introducing the PS Score
PS Score vs. TMSC
In our 2024 study in JU Open Plus, we analyzed 80 patients and found that almost half had a below-normal PS Score despite normal semen analysis results. The study has now expanded to include over 130 patients, with consistent findings.
- PS Fertility mapped total motile sperm count (TMSC) and PS Score for over 300 sperm samples.*
- Samples include pregnancy-proven samples and over 130 patients with a varicocele.
- Top left quadrant highlights patients who would be misdiagnosed as fertile if only a standard semen analysis was used to assess male fertility.
