Traditional semen analysis tests measure sperm count, movement, and shape, but they don’t reveal whether sperm can actually fertilize an egg. A new diagnostic tool called PS Detect is transforming male fertility testing by identifying a key marker—phosphatidylserine (PS) on live sperm—and providing a PS Score, which is an indicator of fertilization capability. This test can help identify infertility in men who may otherwise have normal semen analysis results, leading to earlier identification of hidden fertility issues and more accurate diagnoses and treatments.
